Workshop with Jan O’Donoghue at Gold Coast School Of Iyengar Yoga

Sunday June 5 from 9.30 am to 12 pm.

This Workshop is about the process of learning inversions, how to reap the benefits and how to enjoy being upside down. Which poses actually are the inversions, what are their benefits and why should you bother?

How do you prepare for inversions and what can you do when you’re just not ready to be upside down, either because of fear or because you’re still a relatively new beginner.

The answers to these and other questions and uncertainties will be explained at the workshop. You will practice the simple but essential asanas which prepare you physically and mentally for inversions and you will gain a greater insight to where you body needs to open up or to strengthen.

The particular benefits of each individual inversion will be explained and we will also consider those health conditions where inversions must be avoided, either long term or just temporarily.

The inverted asanas give benefits superior to all other asanas. Their mastery elevates the physical, mental and emotional state of the practitioner into a very desirable state beyond any ordinary experience. This workshop with Jan is suitable for all yoga students after one term of regular class attendance, including those who have little or no experience of inversions. Bookings must be made by Wednesday June 1 with deposit of $25 or full fee of $65. See Jan at the yoga school, phone 0407123699 or use Contact Us on www.yogaschool.com.au
