Abdominal muscles are very responsive to mental directions. This workshop will take you through a range of varying types of uoga postures and teach you specific actions you can apply to different areas of the abdominals for greater efficiency in movement. You will also learn different ways of using the breath to further develop your capability.
Result: Increased strength, improved flexibility and range of movement, and better breathing. Along the way your abdominal organs benefit as well as the muscles.
Certain of the breathing techniques you will learn, combined with the abdominal action, will heighten your experience of relaxation and help you to experience a deeper level. Note that abdominal tension can increase stress and anxiety. you will learn how to relase that effectively.
The Abdominals Workshop is suitable for all yoga students including if pregnant, menstruating or peri-menopausal. However, for these people certain restrictions will apply.
