The first Workshop at Gold Coast School Of Iyengar Yoga for 2015 will be with Jan O’Donoghue teaching the centuries old art of “Yoga Kurunta”, Yoga On The Ropes. Jan’s Ropes Workshops are always popular, fun and explorative. The techniques learned will improve your ability and help to speed your progress in all categories of asanas, whether you’re a beginner or more advanced. The wall ropes give you support, guidance and traction so that you can open up with accuracy and stretch more easily than you ever thought possible. Imagine yourself doing standing poses, seated poses and forward bends all in correct anatomical alignment as the ropes help and support you. Twists, inversions, back bends and even restorative poses can also be highly effective and made so much easier with rope assistance.
Deepen your understanding of correct anatomical alignment, experience the boost of lightness and freedom in a pose and the release that comes with truly deep breathing.
