The term 4 Pranayama Course is scheduled to commence on October 31. This course runs Friday mornings, 6 am to 7 am for six weeks.
Pranayama refers to the refinement and direction of the breath for the purpose of increasing the life energy. The practice of the asanas (the physical postures) prepares the student by increasing the expansion of the rib cage, strengthening both the muscular and nervous systems and by increasing the ability to focus the attention. All of these skills then assist to control and direct the breath during Pranayama. The lung capacity and general health of the student is further improved. Each session leaves the student in a state of deep calm and tranquillity.
Pranayama is the beginning of the inward yoga journey and a prelude to meditation.
Please notify Jan if you wish to attend this Course. Course Fee, $85.
