Term 3 at Gold Coast School Of Iyengar Yoga is underway with students at each level being introduced to, or revising the necessary basics to build on for the asana work to be covered this term.

At level 1 learn the correct positioning of the bones in the joints, how to increase attentiveness and awareness, how to actually create an extensive stretch and how to combine strength and pliability in equal measure. Beginning students also need to learn how to care for and manage any injuries or limitations so they can progress safely. Standing poses, seated poses, forward bends, back bends, twists, inversions and supported relaxing poses; all are taught and progressed during the term and during the year bringing greater freedom of movement and a more balanced state of mind to each student.

At Level 2/3 and on students are challenged to take their awareness much deeper. In each category the asanas are more complicated and held longer. The students experience more extensive and beneficial changes within themselves. Physical ability increases still more. Body, mind and breath are easier to unite harmoniously. Iyengar Yoga= practical, scientific, mindful, guaranteed effective and life transforming.
