Holiday classes in September.
Please note slight change to class schedule this month. There will be no classes on Wednesday 15,22,and 29 and no evening class on Tuesday 28. All other classes as normal. Classes will be in the excellent hands of Julie, Sandra, and Sue (over 60 years yoga experience betwen them) while Jan is away for study and teaching. If your class is affected by a cancellation please come to one of the other classes. Term 3 concludes on September 17 and all pre-paid classes should be used by then. The next two weeks are holiday classes. No levels apply. You may attend whichever classes suit so please turn up and support the relieve teachers. Please give teacher your name, usual class and class fee ($20)prior to the class. Term 4 commences on October 4. By popular request the next Workshop at Gold Coast School Of Iyengar Yoga is Use Of The Wall Ropes. Be prepared for fun. Everyone loves the ropes. Gain lots of creative ideas you can use at home to go further with your stretches, even if you don't own wall ropes. Perform standing poses, forward bends, abdominals, twists, backbends and upside downs with the ropes to assist you, guide you and help you to stretch with accuracy and safety. Go further with Fun. Term 3, 2010
Term 3 at Gold Coast School Of Iyengar Yoga commences on July 12. Classes continue to run as Holiday classes from today, June 21 through to July 8 so you will still be able to attend for a good stretch and relax before the structured term syllabus recommences. Holiday classes ($18 till July 1) are always a great time for revision, going over something that you found more challenging during the term or trying out something new... feel free to make your request. All classes will run at normal times during the holidays except Wednesday July 7 when the yoga school will be closed. Becoming Trim And Staying Trim With Yoga
Workshop with Jan Sunday May 30th, 9.30am to noon. The answer to the frequently asked question, Can Yoga help me lose weight? The answer is yes, but not just any yoga. Workshop will take you through a specific sequence of asanas guided by the program given for weight loss purposes at the Pune Iyengar Yoga Institute. For those more interested in maintaining a figure that is already trim the Workshop sequence will provide the answer for those times when you are out of your normal routine, holidays, celebrations and a little extra padding can accumulate. Season's Greetings to all students and families. Here's hoping everyone has a relaxing and peaceful break. Listed below are the dates for holiday classes in January. These classes are not taught to the regular syllabus and no levels apply. Come at whatever times suit you. The teaching will be given to suit the needs of those who attend on the day. So mark these times in your diary and know you will be able to have a good stretch and open up before the regular term begins. Dates for holiday classes, June/July 09
Hello to everyone. Term 2 concludes on 25th June. Classes will run at normal times as Holiday classes for the next two weeks. The only class which will not run is Thursday July 9th. Holiday classes are not part of the term syllabus and no class levels apply. Class content is given to suit those who attend on the day. Any student may attend any class. Class fee is $18. Happy New Year to all. Holiday classes will commence on January 13th, $17 per class. Schedule is a little different from normal: Tuesdays; 13th,20th and 27th at 9.30 am and 7 pm Thursdays; 15th, 22nd and 29th at 9.30am Wednesday 28th at 7pm No levels. The Knees And Hips Workshop
All about your knees and hips! This workshop will teach you how to care for injuries and for problems like sciatica or knee rehabilitation. Plus you will learn a therapy sequence to gain greater mobility. If you suffer any problems or stiffness in the knees or hips be sure to attend.And even if your mobility is great you will learn how to extend still further.
